The elimination of HCV infection remains a priority goal of public health, in line with the targets set by the WHO for 2030. In Italy, the introduction of free screening for birth cohorts 1969-1989 represented a significant step, but the most recent data show that a significant proportion of patients still escapes diagnosis or, although identified, is not promptly initiated to treatment.

However, in everyday clinical practice, some issues remain open, including therapeutic choice criteria, drug interaction management and multidisciplinary comparison.

This course aims to address these themes from the real data collected through a pre-event survey conducted among participants, to photograph the current methods of screening and treatment on the territory. The survey results, presented and discussed during the meeting, will become the basis for an interactive comparison through roundtables in which to share virtuous experiences of intra-hospital screening and exemplifying clinical cases of the use of short therapy in patients characterized by different profiles.

The training goal is to provide participants with concrete tools to optimize the patient's diagnostic-therapeutic path with hepatitis C, enhancing a rapid, simplified and patient-centered approach.
