Scientific rationale

The training proposal, developed with a 2-hour FAD course, aimed at local pharmacists has been formulated to provide in-depth and up-to-date knowledge on various aspects of headaches, in particular chronic forms: diagnostic criteria of primary headaches and indications on symptomatic drug therapies and prophylaxis with focus on migraine, cluster headache and tension headache and headache from high use of symptomatic (secondal form), chronicisation and comorbidity factors, clinical monitoring tools and disability, the role of pharmacist in the management of the patient with headache in the prevention of chronicity, headache pathways. Strength of the course to achieve the goals was the 360 degree treatment of the patient with headache.
