Scientific rationale

The course aims to deepen the most current strategies for the closure of laparotomy, analyzing functional anatomy, techniques of suture, materials, prosthetic reinforcements and management of laparoscopic braces, up to the treatment of undercute and skin and the peculiarities of emergency surgery. A second part will be dedicated to open abdomen, with particular attention to physiopathological criteria, clinical indications, damage control surgery, multidisciplinary patient management and definitive closure strategies of the complex abdominal wall.

The goal is to provide participants with updated and shared tools to improve decision-making and surgical management, promoting a multidisciplinary and patient-oriented approach.
