Scientific rationale

Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) exploit the electrical and morphological properties of cancer cells to selectively disrupt their division. This therapy involves the continuous application of electric fields at a specific frequency (200 kHz) in the region of the brain affected by the tumor, through the use of a non-invasive medical device (Optune Gio®) used at the patient’s home.
