THE DEEP DISTURBS: CLINICAL AND THERAPY

Scientific rationale

The course, aimed at 20 specialists, aims to deepen the role of sleep and its disorders in clinical practice, with particular attention to neurological pathologies, through the transfer of theoretical knowledge and practical skills useful to patient management.

The program will address the main physiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects of sleep disorders, the evaluation of insomnia and the possibility of pharmacological and non-pharmaological treatment, the framing of hypnic and neurological comorbidities, motor and behavioral manifestations related to sleep in neurodegenerative diseases, sleep apnea, residual drowsiness, narcolepsy and other ipersons. The contents will be declined in relation to the problems that emerge in clinical practice, with attention to the recognition of symptoms, diagnostics and the choice of the most appropriate therapeutic strategies.

Theoretical lessons will be constantly integrated with moments of interactive confrontation, based on the presentation and discussion of shared clinical experiences, to facilitate the application of the knowledge acquired to patient management and to promote a multidisciplinary approach to sleep disorders.

The aim of the course is to consolidate the skills of specialists in the clinical management of sleep disorders, helping to improve diagnostic-therapeutic appropriateness and the quality of care pathways.
